Due to a poorly cat and extra commitments at work after one of my fellow managers went off on long term sick I didn't get the time to spend on this story as I would have liked and, as I've literally only just finished it, it hasn't been betad so I hope there aren't too many mistakes!

All I did was the title and author text. As for the fic; I don’t know why, but this one’s given me such trouble! RL hasn’t been helping, either. So, I’m posting the first three chapters now, barely still on my due date (trouble with the internet has put me past midnight, of course), and the last chapter will go up as soon as I finish it and get it looked over by my friendly neighborhood beta. Speaking of which: I would like to thank Erynn999 for being so kind as to give this a scrub with the proof-loofah © and a good thwack with the beta-stick ™ as well as assisting me further by threatening the characters and the Muse if they don’t cooperate—it’s necessary sometimes, alas. UPDATE: Adding an epilogue.
