Notes: I wrote two fics this year! I wasn't expecting to, nor was I expecting this to come out more Shane & Maru than Shane/Maru.

"Inheriting half of her late wife’s company means Maru is now Shane’s business partner – to their mutal dismay!
Working together, they are forced to confront their growing attraction. Then Maru discovers that Shane promised her late wife she’d take care of her.
Maru doesn’t want a relationship based on obligation. If she were to marry again, it would only be for love. But can Shane convince her that he isn’t acting purely out of duty?"
