Alas, I am not going to be able to write my original prompt. Season two of Timeless ruined the pairing I was planning to write--and then the series got cancelled. I thought I could get past it but it has been weeks since the show ended and I still can't get over what they did to Wyatt and Lucy. I might try writing it later as a gen adventure fic, but that's not in the spirit of unconventionalcourtship.
I've been looking for another prompt to write for a different couple, preferably one I still actually ship.
Would this work as an alternative? I found "Fade to Black" on Goodreads, but I think it's from a paranormal romance/detective series. I hope I can play a bit with the concept, make it amusing.

Starring in a cult TV show was a blessing for Marnie Davante David Duchovny, especially now that his former fame could support herhis futuredream of starting a children's theater of writing the Great American Novel. So he’ll work the convention circuit, and keep those residuals rolling in. But then a former costar is brazenly murdered in front of her him. Although his her dear departed parents were famous actors both worked in the industry, PI Gillian Anderson is about as far from Hollywood as you can get. It’s unclear if the killer is an obsessed fan—or something far more sinister. Could the show’s cast be cursed?
