With only twenty-four hours to stop the assasination, he had to figure out who was masterminding the plot and when they planned to strike. First, he had to get Cardinal Richelieu on his side. And then he'd give the enemy a new target – himself!

It had been two years since Rochefort had walked out of Richelieu's life and now he was back. Despite his animostity, he couldn't help accepting the dashing Count's proposition. What Richelieu hadn't counted on was it turning into a day he'd never forget...
